After cooking all these sweets over the past 10 days, I needed to do something to keep from going into a diabetic coma. I am very proud of myself: I have gotten up 3 whole days in a row and gone for a run. Today my legs hurt so badly that I can barely walk, but hey, it will be worth it.
On the food front, I made a vegetarian soup: Northwest Hot and Sour Soup from Edible Seattle. This was delish! Maybe it’s only because I hadn’t given the kids an after school snack, but they really chowwed down on this. As the meal wore on though, I started getting comments about not liking the mushrooms. I wasn’t surprised however. Needless to say, we ate the whole thing.
